Hello. We are The Cromers. We live in Durant, Oklahoma with our four kids (3 boys and 1 girl) and our crazy golden retriever. We’ve been married for three years and telling wedding stories for a living for six years. Christy started the business in 2014 and Cody joined in early 2017.
Our love story is a crazy one, it has seen us welcome love, lose love and then find love in each other when we least expected it
We dated long distance for awhile, with nightly FaceTime dates, long, hard conversations on what we expected out of each other and making a promises list to each other. Six months later Cody packed everything he owned into his tiny car, I flew out to Maryland and we moved him halfway across the country to live in Oklahoma. Cody proposed on November 25, 2017 and we got married 5 days later, in a field, surrounded by our kids and family. We have both seen and experienced the redemptive work of God in our lives and we are so thankful for His unending love and for putting our lives on a path that lead us to each other.
What we learned on our journey to each other set the foundation for our relationship and how we love each other, our kids and our clients. We have lived enough life to know that your wedding day is just one page of a much larger story – your marriage. We’ve learned that the day in and day out, mundane Thursday morning moments matter. The family movie nights cuddled up on the couch, date nights, hard nights, sad nights and happy days matter. We believe that every moment in your marriage matters. What we learned from our hard moments in life is that having the hard conversation and doing the hard things, together, are always worth it.
We also know that the moments on your wedding day matter. We know that this day is just a blip on the radar in the whole journey of your life together. We know how easy it is to get so caught up in planning the wedding and making sure you have the perfect ‘cake, flowers, bridal party, etc’ so it looks good. Don’t get us wrong, we think those things are important but we also know this: the cake will be eaten, the flowers will wilt, the decorations will be boxed up and probably sit in your garage forever, (trust us, we know this from experience), your dress will hang in your closet and probably never be worn again. At the end of the day, all you have left from your wedding day are your memories, your pictures and your video from your wedding day. These are the heirlooms that you will show your kids and their kids someday. This is how you will tell your wedding story to the next generation. This is where your legacy starts.
We know that you have thoughtfully planned every detail of the day and invited the people who have known you, loved you and cheered you on to this point in your lives. Knowing this, we always seek to make images that will be meaningful and tell the truth of your wedding day and show who you and your loved ones were long after today’s wedding fads expire. We want you to look back at your wedding photos in 1, 5, 10, 20 years and recognize yourselves and your guests and be flooded with emotions you felt from that day and be able to tell the complete story of your day to your children and their children. This is the first page of your story. We believe we were made to tell it and we are certain you’re going to love these for decades. We promise to tell the story of your day and leave no fingerprints behind.
